Romanian-born writer, journalist and literary critic Miruna Tarcau published her first novel when she was just 16 years old. Her French thriller, The Devil’s Island (2006), was well received by the Romanian press in Montreal where she lives, as well as in Paris and in Bucharest. She pursued her literary career in 2007 and in 2009 with two heroic fantasy novels that were part of a series, The War of the Titans, before devoting herself more exclusively to her research in French literature. She is currently finishing her PhD at McGill University (Canada), where she studies the reconceptualization of the Renaissance in contemporary historical novels under the supervision of Professor Diane Desrosiers. She regularly publishes articles in magazines such as L’Esprit libre, Entrevous and La Recrue.
